At the legendary Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Michigan. The Comedy Castle is the Mecca of comedy. This is the place where all comedians want to go when they die. See that door behind me? When the lights come up and you turn that doorknob to get to the stage, it's electric. Like being shot out of a cannon. I did five shows there, and two were completely sold out. What a rush. Mark Ridley is a hell of a guy, too. He's seen and heard it all, but still loves the business and makes comics feel welcome.
With the bawdy, talented Chrissy Burns at The Comedy Room. This lady is seriously funny, and a lot of fun to work with.

With Bryan McCree and Mike Dambra at Snappers. Both these guys are funny, gentleman comics. The place was crazy. Several drunks got up in Dambra's face while he was on stage, and had to be "escorted" out by bouncers. One woman actually rushed the stage, screaming "F--- You!" at him. She got tackled and thrown out. |
